Festsalen is located on the first floor of the hunting lodge and is designed in simple baroque style with stucco, a fireplace made of Italian marble and a Norwegian crystal chandelier. The furniture is hand-made by a Danish cabinet maker from 1930-1960. The walls are adorned with paintings by Sven Havsteen-Mikkelsen.
On 18 January 1767, Christiane Frederikke Schaeffer, married at Schaeffergaarden. There is a beautiful picture of the occasion at the Øregaard museum that describes it.
