Some climb mountains or challenge themselves and the team by performing extreme challenges. In Villa Helene’s kitchen we challenge you and the team in what good food is all about. Since we opened Villa Helene’s kitchen in 2002, we have created many meals. This has been an inspirational experience for many guests as the opportunity to talk to the person next to you while preparing food at the same time has led to improved communication and problemsolving in many companies. We can highly recommend this event.
The concept “Let’s cook together” is a perfect ending to a conference or a meeting instead of going to the restaurant. It is the perfect opportunity to spend some enjoyable hours combining the experience of talking and preparing food whilst taking on the role as chef.
First of all you will be given a complete guidance in how to work in a kitchen followed by a briefing of the evening menu and the raw products that will be used. In addition, we will demonstrate different cuts and ways of preparing the food. The team will be divided into 3 groups: one group prepares the first course, the second group prepares the main course and the third group is responsible for the dessert.
A chef will be present all the time to help and give good advice. If you get stuck or you have too much time, the chef will find a small side dish for you to prepare.
Finally, the meal will be served and the team can enjoy the dinner. We will take care of the dishwashing, cleaning and serving.
We have different menus to choose from depending on how much you want to pamper yourselves.
Kitchen Challenge!
For this event you will challenge each other on creativity and interpersonal skills. The challenge is a fixed menu for example first course lobster, main course roast veal and dessert with ice cream Each team is given a basket of raw products, and it’s up to the teams to set the menu. The team then has to put together a menu and decide how to prepare the meal - should it be boiled, fried, steamed or prepared another way. Which garniture would you like to serve and how do you want to present he dish.
To be inspired we have a number of cookery books and magazines and a computer. And of course you can ask the chef, but that will give you penalty points. You start with 3 free questions.
The team is competing for the best taste and presentation. The chef is the judge and his word is not to discuss. There is a surprise for the winning team.
Working together in a restaurant
Obviously we cannot adapt a restaurant where guests can order different dishes. However, working in a restaurant kitchen demands discipline, accurateness, cooperation and speed. When we work in a “restaurant” we cooporate. The only difference is that before the team start, they set a deadline for serving the first course, main course and desert. Now it’s up to the team to coordinate the preparation, the serving and timing of any speeches. It is good fun and leads to many good discussions.
Chefs dining
This event is for those who prefer to enjoy rather than work in the kitchen. We lay the table in the kitchen (max. 14 persons). Whilst you sit and enjoy yourself, the chef prepares the dinner which will be served by our waiters. During the evening, you will have the opportunity to ask the chef and waiters for good tips on dishes, methods of preparation and wine.

- Menu 1, welcome drink, wine menu and coffee DKK 1.475,- per person
- Menu 2, welcome drink, wine menu and coffee DKK 1.525,- per person
- Menu 3, welcome drink, wine menu and coffee DKK 1.645,- per person
Additional exclusive wine package DKK 350,- per person. The minimum price per cookery school is DKK 15.000,-.
